Field Day

The Pout Pout Fish

We have had so much fun with "The Pout Pout Fish" book this week!  Check out our kiss kiss fishes!  I just love this book!

Money Due Friday!

Please don't forget that Magic Show money ($2.00) and Field Trip money ($13.00) is due on Friday!  I want all my kids to be able to attend the magic show, so please make sure to send the money!  Thank you for your support!

Field Trip

I am excited to announce that we will be going to the Dallas Arboretum on Wednesday, May 27th!  We will spend the day at the Rory Myers Children's Adventure Garden.  We will have an hour long class about animal habitats and then get to explore the rest of the Adventure Garden!  Field trip permission slip came home today.  Please look for them in your child's binder.  The cost will be $13.00 per student.  This includes the $8 for the Arboretum and $5 for busses.  Please send money by Friday, May 8th.  Parents are welcome!  Parent cost will be $10.00, due the morning of the 27th.  Thank you so much for your support!

Music Program

I have had several emails today about the music program.  It is NOT tonight.  The music program for 1st grade is MAY 14th.  There is no program tonight.  See you in May!

Wednesday February 25th

If we have school tomorrow, Don't forget it is an early release day!  Dismissal will be at 1:15 p.m.  Also, due to the past two ice days and 1/2 day, we will not have spelling or reading homework this week.  The spelling words listed will carry over to next week.  Stay safe and warm!

Education Galaxy

This week a letter will come home explaining a new online reading and math program that we will be using at Couch.  This program can be used at home!  The students will practice reading and math skills.  We will be using it some during the week, at school.  We are in a competition with other 1st grade classes, to see who can log the most use.  Please encourage your child to use this program at home!  Their log in information will be on the letter.

Valentine's Day Party

Please make sure that you found your child's party note, in their Friday folder.  This note will let you know what you need to bring.  If you are unable to help at this time, please let me know as soon as possible.  If you did not see the pink note sent home on Friday, please let me know.  I will send it home again.  Thank you for your support!

Day of Drumming!

The Day of Drumming will be happening this Friday during our Specials time.  If you haven't already done so, please turn in your $2.00.  I would like for my whole class to participate!  Thank you so much for your support!

Don't forget to come join us tonight from 6-8 p.m. at school, for The Dallas Perot Museum!  What a fun preview to our field trip tomorrow!  How fun would it be to experience this with your child, especially if you will not be able to attend our field trip tomorrow!
