Punctuation Perfection!

We have also been learning about periods, question marks and exclamation points.  We talked about when it is appropriate to use these punctuation marks.
We read the book "More Bears" by Kenn Nesbitt.  This book is a great example of using different punctuation marks!

 Then we create our own bear and wrote about what we would want more of, instead of More Bears!
They turned out so cute!

 

Sentence Buddies!

We have had the best week!  We are learning all about what makes a complete sentence.  Yesterday, we made "Sentence Buddies".  The kids loved this! 

 

 

Patriot's Day

Wow!  What a great first 3 weeks!  We ended this week by remembering 9-11.  We read a book written by first graders about 9-11 and then we created a quilt with "I will" statements!  Check out the picture, they turned out so cute!
